Welcome to the online bidding platform for this exciting new sale!

If you are NEW to our online bidding platform, WELCOME! We are so happy you're here! Please take a moment to read the information below which will help you with the online bidding process. As sale day draws near, we will add a YouTube link to an online bidding video tutorial that will walk you through the registration process and placing bids step by step!

This sale is webcast live with internet bidding through Horse Auctions USA for those who cannot attend in person! You can download the Horse Auctions USA app FREE on your mobile device, OR, if you prefer to bid from your computer, you may do so through this link: bid.horseauctionsusa.com  Google Chrome is the recommended browser if you wish to bid from a computer, however, our platform will work on just about any browser including Edge, Firefox, and Safari.

All internet bidding related questions should be directed to Bridget Lavigne at (336) 904-8903 or to Shada Schenker at (620) 314-3758. Calls or texts are welcome. Please bear in mind that we are generally on site at a horse sale somewhere in the country every weekend so strongly recommend texting should your question arise on a weekend as we cannot answer our phones in the midst of a live auction.

This platform allows for both live bidding in real time on sale day, complete with a live feed, as well as absentee bidding! You may place prebids/absentee bids prior to the start of the sale. Prebidding/Early Absentee Bidding becomes available to you when horses are listed!

This is a useful feature if you will be unable to watch live on sale day, have poor cell service/internet connectivity, or just prefer to bid in a relaxed manner without the pressure of a live auction.  Pre-bidding works just like eBay! You'll place your maximum bid then sit back and let the computer do the work for you! The computer will only raise your bid incrementally as needed to keep you in the winning position!

PLEASE NOTE that if a horse comes into the ring and an announcement is made or something is visible that was not disclosed in the information that was available to you ahead of time (i.e. - horse is announced to crib, horse is visibly lame, was injured on the trailer, has a large scar that wasn't mentioned, etc) and there are prebids placed on that horse, we WILL NOT honor those prebids for your protection. We want you to bid with confidence and the most accurate information available. No need to send you an unwelcome surprise!

You can increase your maximum bid if needed at any time!

****Please note that horses will initially be listed with placeholder Lot Identification until consignments close and the sale company finalizes the catalog with selling order. Once that happens, the horses' listings here on Horse Auctions USA will update to show final Hip Number/Lot Number and selling order. You may place absentee bids prior to that happening if you wish as your bids will stay with the horse (i.e. - a bid placed while horse's Lot ID is "Sparky" will remain with the horse when his Lot ID changes to Lot 14)

Live Bidding on Sale Day

When we go live at sale time, you can watch in real time with NO delay and bid right from your smart phone or computer, just as if you were with us in person! You'll have real time video & audio with bid buttons so you can bid right along with the folks who are there in person! Please note that we will also be live on sale day on Facebook as well as on YouTube. Those live feeds are for viewing purposes only and you cannot bid on them. Additionally, both of those platforms will have a 15-20 second delay as both Facebook and YouTube "buffer" their feeds.  Again, there is NO DELAY here on the bidding platform.

REGISTERING TO BID

Registering to bid is a relatively painless process and only takes a few minutes to do. While we strongly recommend registering BEFORE sale day, you can absolutely register to bid online right in the middle of the auction if you wish. Click "View Auction" beneath Alabama Select Horse Sale. That will bring up an index of horses consigned to the sale. Beneath each horse's index listing is a prompt that says "Register To Bid"   Click on that (under any horse in the sale, doesn't matter which one!) and follow the prompts.  You'll need to select "No Account? Sign up here" if you are new to our platform and provide your information.

PLEASE NOTE:

You will need to use a valid debit or credit card to register for online bidding.

Your card WILL NOT be charged upon registration, but it will be authorized for $1000 to be sure it is valid. Some mobile banking apps will send you a notification that looks like a charge. DON'T PANIC! We ARE NOT charging you to register as an online bidder - just making sure you are a real person with a working card. This is an unfortunate necessity in this day and time. That preauthorization will NEVER COMPLETE and will fall off like it was never there. It IS NOT a charge!  We remove the authorization immediately on our end at the completion of the sale. When it officially falls off on your end is entirely dependent on your bank.  You do NOT have to use the card you register with for final payment, and are welcome to pay cash or check at pick up on Saturday or Sunday!

Please be sure to read the TERMS & CONDITIONS of the sale!  These are the terms you agree to when you register to bid. Remember, you are bound by them whether you read them or not!

Good luck! Happy Bidding!

We are sure looking forward to a GREAT SALE!

TERMS & CONDITIONS

PLEASE REMEMBER THAT YOU ARE  BOUND BY THESE WHETHER YOU READ THEM OR NOT SO TAKE THE TIME TO FAMILIARIZE YOURSELF WITH THEM!

Alabama Select Horse Sale Terms & Conditions

Acceptance of Terms By participating in the Alabama Select Horse Sale ("Sale"), all consignors, bidders, and buyers ("Participants") agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, as well as any announcements made by the auctioneer or Sale management, which take precedence over printed material.

Governing Law Magnolia Livestock Services, acting as the Sale Manager, is an independent contractor regularly engaged in the business of conducting consignment sales of horses. The Sale Management or any representative thereof is not responsible for any liability whatsoever, including, but not limited to, the loss, damage, injury, death, or illness of any animal, person, or property before, during, or after the sale. All horses consigned to the sale are offered in accordance with the laws of the State of Alabama. All transactions between Buyer, Consignor, and Sale Management are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama. In the event of any legal dispute between Buyer or Consignor, Sale Management will occupy the position of Agent for a disclosed Principal and Stakeholder and will be discharged from all obligations owing to the Consignor or Buyer upon delivery of any property or funds held by Sale Management to the Court having jurisdiction of such dispute.

Bidding Procedure The highest bidder shall become the Buyer. Any successful bidder shall sign a Buyer’s Acknowledgment (‘ticket’), which shall be presented by an auction clerk immediately after the purchase has been made. Buyers that win the horse and are present will sign a Buyer Acknowledgment Agreement. Online bidders acknowledge that the time stamp and recording of the ip address at the time online bids are placed will serve as acknowledgment. The right to pass-out (P.O) is reserved by the Consignor or their representative. Any such action must be made prior to the Consignor’s horse departing the auction arena. Title to the animal passes to the Buyer automatically at the final fall of the auctioneer’s gavel unless such pass-out (P.O.) is clearly indicated immediately by the Consignor, their representative, or the auctioneer. Sale Management and/or auctioneer(s) reserve the right to reject any and all bids.

Registration and Bidding

Registration: All in person buyers must register with the Sale office and provide a valid state-issued photo ID to obtain a bidder number. The Alabama Select Horse Sale reserves the right to refuse a bidder number to any person at its sole discretion. Registration to bid does not constitute a commitment to buy.

Use of Technology by Bidders: Online bidding will be broadcast through Horse Auctions USA @ bid.horseauctionsusa.com. All bidders, including those utilizing the online platform, acknowledge that technology may malfunction unexpectedly. Alabama Select Horse Sale provides these services "as is" and is not liable for interruptions, errors, or other technology-related issues. Online bidders must register and acknowledge that a $1000 hold will be placed on the credit/debit card that is registered with. This is a good faith hold and will be released at the conclusion of the auction and once final payment for any winning bids has been made to the sale office. Online bids are subject to a 4% fee

● Bidding Disputes: In the event of a dispute between bidders, the auctioneer has the authority to settle the dispute, and their decision will be final and binding. Disputes may result in reopening bidding solely among the disputing parties or withdrawing the horse from the Sale.

Payment and Default

Payment Deadline: All purchases must be settled immediately following the Sale. Payments must be made to the Sale cashier in the form of cash, approved personal check, certified funds, or pre-approved wire transfer.

Default by Returned Check: If a buyer’s check is returned for any reason, the buyer will be deemed in default. They will have 24 hours to provide replacement funds in cash or cashier’s check. A $200 inconvenience fee will apply. Failure to cure the default within 24 hours may result in repossession of the horse and additional penalties, including a default fee of 10% of the final bid and any associated costs.

Defaulters: Buyers who fail to settle payment immediately following the conclusion of the sale or fail to meet agreed wire transfer arrangements will be deemed defaulters. The consignor will be notified and may choose to extend terms, void the sale and reoffer the horse, or retain ownership. If the consignor does not respond within 30 minutes, the Sale management may reoffer the horse, and the original sale will be considered void. Defaulting buyers will owe a 10% default fee to the Sale management and may also be held responsible for any difference in sale price if the horse is resold.

Title, Risk, and Insurance

Passing of Title: Title and risk of loss pass to the buyer as soon as the auctioneer declares the horse "sold." The buyer assumes all responsibility for the horse, and it is strongly recommended that buyers purchase insurance immediately after the sale.

Care of Horses: Buyers, consignors, and sellers agree to indemnify and hold Alabama Select Horse Sale harmless for any claims, damages, or losses arising from the care, custody, and control of the horse once sold. Warranties and Representations

As-Is Sale: All horses are sold "as is." The Sale management and auctioneer make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the soundness, fitness, or condition of any horse.

Soundness Guarantee: Horses sold as "sound" are guaranteed by consignors unless explicitly announced "as is." This guarantee includes: ○ The horse is sound in eyes and wind. ○ The horse is not a cribber. ○ The horse has not been nerved and does not have navicular disease. ○ The sex of the horse matches the catalog description. ○ Geldings are not ridgelings. ○ Colts or stallions over 18 months of age have two descended testes. ○ The horse does not have parrot mouth. ○ Title is free of adverse claims, and the consignor agrees to defend against any such claims.

● Sale management is not responsible for misunderstandings between buyers and consignors. In case of disputes, a licensed veterinarian may assist in resolving the matter, but the ultimate resolution of guarantees lies between buyer and consignor.

Technology Disclaimer Participants using online bidding platforms, phone bidding, or other technology acknowledge that these systems may experience errors or interruptions. Alabama Select Horse Sale is not responsible for losses arising from technology malfunctions, and participants agree to hold the Sale management harmless for any claims resulting from such issues. The Sale management reserves the right to pause, extend, or cancel bidding sessions due to technical issues.
